Are You the Masterchef in Your Business?

Anthea Moffat - Wednesday, November 17, 2010

So Isabella is the Junior Master Chef champion.

And Junior Master Chef was the top rating on Monday night with over 2.2 million people taking a look at one point.  (http://www.theaustralian.com.au/business/media/junior-chefs-take-ten-to-ratings-victory/story-e6frg996-1225954285348)

Although I’m not a Master Chef “junkie” myself, I know plenty of people who are.

Quite simply, the show has been a phenomenon on Australian  television.

And that’s why it’s well worth a look from a marketing point-of-view.

So why does Master Chef work?

In my view, the thing the show has going for it are the presenters, chefs Gary Mehigan and George Calombaris, and food critic, Matt Preston.

It’s obvious they’re passionate about what they do.

And rather than brow beat the contestants (ala Gordon Ramsay style!)…

They nurture.

They encourage.

And they share their love of food.

When you watch Master Chef, you never get the impression that work is a chore for the guys.

And the contestants…

And the millions of Australian viewers who tune in on a regular basis…

Not only respect that…

They’re drawn to it.

Because passion is intoxicating.

What about you?

Can your customers and clients detect your passion for what you do?
